Zhongtuo Closed-Type Floor Deck Forming Machine: A New Benchmark in Efficiency and Performance

In the fast-paced world of construction, where precision and speed are non-negotiable, a reliable floor deck forming machine can make all the difference. For contractors, builders, and steel structure manufacturers seeking higher productivity and fewer operational disruptions, Zhongtuo Machinery has introduced a game-changer: the Closed-Type Floor Deck Forming Machine.

This newly developed system is designed with real-world job site challenges in mind—from material deformation and alignment errors to time-consuming maintenance and operator fatigue. The ZTRFM addresses these pain points with an intelligent design that delivers smooth forming, consistent quality, and rapid throughput, all while simplifying operation for users.

Smart Loading System – Built for Maximum Adaptability

One of the most frustrating aspects of many conventional floor deck forming machines is coil handling. Misaligned coils, material scratches, and incorrect tensioning not only waste time but also lead to costly rework. The ZTRFM eliminates these risks through a 4-arm hydraulic uncoiler, engineered with advanced dovetail tensioning technology. This mechanism automatically adjusts to a variety of coil inner diameters, holding the material securely without distortion or surface damage.

What’s more, the uncoiling system features an upgraded pneumatic pressing unit, specially designed to manage high-tension materials such as G550 galvanized steel. Even during rapid uncoiling of thick plates, the system ensures the material stays aligned and under control—eliminating the chaos of unwanted feed run-outs.

For added convenience, the machine supports reversible feeding (left or right entry), and can be managed by a single operator using the wireless remote control system. This reduces labor costs and simplifies operations, particularly in tight or high-volume production environments.

Precision Engineering for Flawless Forming

The machine features 36 chrome-plated rollers made of GCR15 bearing steel, offering a service life of over 20 years under regular industrial use. These rollers are specifically heat-treated and polished to ensure each pass produces clean, distortion-free profiles.

To support alignment and reduce wear during heavy-duty forming, the system integrates a dual-guide pillar technology combined with 12mm-thick hardened steel side guards. This design prevents lateral movement of the material, eliminates edge scratching, and minimizes the chance of jamming—issues common in older floor deck machines.

Zhongtuo’s engineers have also included a hydraulic shearing system mounted on precision dovetail slideways. This not only ensures a clean, burr-free cut but also enables fast replacement of copper slider components, reducing downtime during maintenance. Operators can complete blade changes in minutes, keeping production lines moving even under tight deadlines.

Structural Strength Meets High-Speed Production

In addition to its advanced forming and cutting capabilities, the ZTRFM-5T-C is physically built to withstand harsh industrial conditions. Its robust frame is constructed using 350H structural steel with 12mm wall thickness, while 20mm reinforced steel panels offer additional support and rigidity. This heavy-duty structure prevents vibration and deformation during transport and long-term usage, particularly for operators running multiple shifts or shipping machines to overseas job sites.

When it comes to forming speed, this model does not compromise. It offers a stable working speed of 8 to 12 meters per minute, capable of processing steel sheets ranging from 0.8mm to 1.5mm thick with ease. The dual-blade cutting system enhances edge quality, leaving clean lines ideal for direct concrete application in high-rise flooring systems.

Another thoughtful feature is the incorporation of side-roll bearings that reduce pressure on the galvanized coating, preserving the zinc layer and preventing surface oxidation. This results in better concrete bonding and ensures long-term structural durability of the installed floor decking.

Meeting the Demands of Global Markets

The machine is already drawing attention from international buyers due to its combination of automation, strength, and user-friendly operation. Mr. Han, one of Zhongtuo’s senior service engineers, recently led the overseas installation and commissioning of the machine in the United States, where it was praised for its seamless performance and ease of use—even in demanding on-site conditions.
